Through Derry & Strabane District Council's Primary School Cultural Awareness Initiative P4/5 and P5 learnt about Robbie Burns, a famous and influential eighteenth century Scottish poet and song writer. They sang songs like 'Auld Lang Syne' and enjoyed listening to his poetry, as well as the bagpipes, Scottish dancing and tasting some haggis. This was a wonderful opportunity to learn about another culture and traditions in an experiential way. We are all grateful to the Council for providing this to schools.
